If you enjoyed Rail Fest 2007 or 2008 (or both), we invite you to become an Individual Member of the Original Town Association and the Rail Fest Celebration. All of the entertainment, bus tours, children’s games and other programs at Cody Park are provided Free of Charge to the public in order to create a true ‘Family Friendly Event’ for our community.
At Rail Fest 2008, 2,900 people received guided bus tours of the Union Pacific’s Bailey Yard, and 1,600 adults and children rode on the UP’s Miniature Train. 1,500 people watched the "Strongman Classic” competition; and 1,000 people enjoyed the NebraskaLand National Bank ‘Pancake Breakfast’.
But the true measure of success was the children. Over 5,000 rides were given to children on the Cody Park Carousel and the adjacent carnival rides; with over 3,000 children taking time to play on the inflatable jumps and activity booths. These activities are provided Free thanks to donations from caring people like you.
Proceeds from the Rail Fest Celebrations, and your tax-deductible membership contribution, are used to revitalize low to moderate income neighborhood in North Platte, Nebraska.
